Messages of Hope

You are far from home. You are not far from us.

For everyone who carries Venezuela, at home and across the world.

Before you go any further

What would you want them to hear?

Say it in any language, even if your voice shakes. This is anonymous, and a real person listens with care before anyone else does.

Your voice is safe here.

Voices from everywhere

You are not alone in this.

These are voices from people who carry the same distance and the same country. They spoke so the next person would not feel so alone. Listen when you are ready.

Or let them play, one after another

Why this place exists

Aid reaches the body. This is for the spirit.

Water, food, and shelter keep people alive. But there is a part of us that hunger cannot explain and money cannot mend. The part that misses a kitchen, a street, a name.

This is a small place to tend that part. No feeds to scroll, no one performing. Just a voice, and the quiet company of people who understand.

Portrait

The story

It began with one phone call about home.

This started as a conversation between two friends about a country they both love and worry over. One of them is Venezuelan. The other kept circling the same question. What do you do for the part of a person that aid cannot reach.

Out of that call came a simple idea. A place where a voice from Caracas and a voice from a kitchen far away could sit in the same quiet room, and neither would feel so far from home. This is that room.

If today is too heavy

Some moments are too much to carry alone. If you are in crisis, or you just need someone to talk to today, you can find a helpline for your country at: findahelpline.com

Come as you are. In any language, on any night. You are welcome here.
